Burgundy has much to delight the wine lover. Using Chardonnay for the white wines and Pinot Noir for the red. This session explores the region including The Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune the home of the majority of Burgundy’s grand red and white Grand Cru’s. Tasting will involve 4 representative regional wines.

If you choose your wine because you like the label it’s time to learn how to understand exactly what you’re buying. Are you getting value for money? How can you identify the quality and origin of a wine from what you read? What exactly is in the bottle you are buying? Tasting will involve 4 of the labels examined.

From Dom Perignon to Widow Verve Cliquot how was the Champagne method discovered? how did it evolve? and how is it produced today? Moving step by step through the process will lead to an appreciation of the production process versus cost. Tasting will involve comparing 3 different Champagnes.
La Rioja – The Home of the Tempranillo Grape
An interesting session exploring this magical location, the red and white wines, and the quality classification system of this most famous Spanish wine region are covered. How does the grape affect the finished product? How is the wine produced and aged? Traditional Tapas will be included in the tasting of 4 regionally representative wines.
Food & Wines Perfect Pairing
Opinion wavers on clear rights and wrongs when it comes to food and wine matching, but certain flavours bring out the best in each other. Use this session to explore grape varieties and the common foods which will provide the perfect partner. 5 common foods and 4 wines will be tasted in this session.
